On Friday, we took the bus to Kanchanaburi. I had a little walk around as Papasito took a nap. I saw the Allied cemetery, the war museum, and the Bridge over River Kwai. The bridge was a little disappointing at first since it is smaller than I expected and looked like just an ordinary bridge. I walked almost to the end, and gave a Thai fellow who was busking with an accordion and violin about 30 baht. This then caused him to burst into conversation as he pointed out various interesting things about the bridge including a couple of bullet dents in the metal presumably from Allied aircraft. This made my day.
I met a guy from Canada at the museum, and he told me about the restaurant where he was staying. Papasito and I went for a really good meal there and met up with him. The menu was incredible since it had several hundred items. I ate Pad Thai and dad had a large fresh fish.
