First night in Chiang Mai. Had yet another Thai curry which was the best yet. Went to the Saturday market and it poured down, my first experience of a good SE Asian monsoon. I didn't mind though. Went for a couple beers afterwards and met a couple from Friesland in the Netherlands. They were as goofy as all heck; I liked them. The guy had an obsession with speed skating and seemed surprised that I didn't know any of the Canadian skaters. So far it seems CM is extremely popular with Westerners. They had Man. City vs. Everton on the TV in the bar.
Sunday morning got up early and will start some sight-seeing.
